BEST Logistics Group is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented leader to be an Account Manager for BEST Dedicated Fleet Operations.


Summary Description:

The Account Manager is responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships with their customers. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing customers and actively seek new sales opportunities.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


Customer Relationships:

· Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters

· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationship; manage customer relationships and provide customers with excellent service and support

· Responsible for managing several accounts and being the face of the company to your customers

· Ensure the timely and successful delivery according to customer needs and objectives

· Deal with any issues that may arise from customers and / or drivers include contacting temporary agencies to man open trucks

· Responsible for handling after hours calls from customers/drivers


Driver Relationships:

· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with drivers assigned to your customer base starting with driver orientation by completing operations portion of orientation

· Responsible for dispatching / managing drivers and managing their performance including time off requests, corrective action, and performance reviews

· Collaborate with safety to coordinate recertification of drivers and random drug screenings

· Administers weekly performance scorecards via information from Pedigree and utilizes this a tool to improve performance

· Accountable for driver retention including developing programs to address retention and removing barriers for drivers


Equipment:

· Manage all equipment assigned to your customer base

· Liaison with shop on tractor issues / statuses

· Coordinates with shop on any maintenance issues; monitors OOS equipment and collaborates with maintenance to expedite return to service

· Communicate issues with equipment to operations manager

Job requirements
