Position Description

The Parts / Warranty Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing parts and recovering cost for parts and repairs made within a warranty or policy coverage period and to document value/expense of warranty coverages.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Same day ordering of replacement and upgrade service parts

  • Effectively communicate with maintenance team on status of parts and warranty

  • Maintain parts within the shop by ensuring a clean and organized work area, conducting cycle counts, completing inventory adjustments and transfers, stocking and replenishing parts.

  • Work with maintenance team to qualify warranty repairs and follow through on the claims process

  • Prepare claims according to the manufactures’ warranty guidelines

  • Intercede with the manufacturer on questioned warranty issues

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our vendors

  • Be aware of repetitive problems and initiate action with appropriate parties with regard to issues that may be under warranty and finding supporting information to get an exception claim paid

This is a day-shift role, 8 hours per day, Monday Friday.

Job requirements

High School diploma or GED required; experience with parts/warrant preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience working in the transportation industry is highly preferred.
